NO VACANCY

in collaboration with Ben Coleman // supported by Dashboard

No Vacancy was an experimental artist residency and multimedia installation created in collaboration with artist/musician Ben Coleman with the support of the Atlanta-based arts nonprofit Dashboard.

Having never met prior to beginning the project, my collaborator and I were driven to an undisclosed location in Downtown Atlanta and given complete access to a derelict nightclub with the instructions to create “something.”

During the three week residency, we were not allowed contact with the outside world other than the small support team, which also delivered us food and supplies we requested to execute the project.

The resulting project consisted of complete transformation of the space and a 5-hour durational performance piece.
